St. Mary's 1, Broadneck 3 (Bruins Forfeit).
St. Mary's and Broadneck opened the Pioneer preseason tournament at Anne Arundel Community College on a warm Friday afternoon. Although the final outcome was a predetermined rules violation forfeit by Broadneck, both teams stepped on the pitch with a high intensity level and fierce determination to win.
The Bruins opened the scoring the first half, slipping one by Saints goalkeeper Lizzie Roeble. The Saints scored back the equalizer at the 34th minute but the Bruins were able to add one more goal before the end of the first half.
The Bruins kept the Saints scoreless the second half while bringing their score to three by the end of the game.
